Project Power Tour for Jarrod

I would like to introduce you to Jarrod Holly. He is a young man that is living out his abbreviated life in a most admirable way. Jarrod was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at the age of 7 years. Up to this point, he had been growing up normally and all was well. Jarrod is now an 18 years old part time college student, studying computer graphics. He is wheelchair bound and has a fierce determination to realize as many of his dreams as possible in his remaining years. Jarrod has a passion for cars that came at a very early age. Despite his diagnosis, Jarrod started racing Jr. Dragsters at the age of 8 (at SIR) and was able to win a race while he was still driving. His Jr. Dragster was modified to accommodate his reduced function as the disease progressed. When he was 10 he crashed the dragster and his parents felt it was no longer safe for him to be racing. He has continued to be involved with cars, hot rodding and drag racing. He has also taken up racing RC cars as it is something that he can still do with his limited mobility. One of Jarrod's dreams that he would like to realize this coming year is to participate in the Hot Rod Power Tour.  READ MORE HERE

SIR  Welcomes RIDE ARIZONA MTC in 2012

As a continuation of our efforts to promote safety on our community streets & roadways, SIR will be host to RIDE ARIZONA Motorcycle Training Center Classes in 2012.  Our message is the same as their message: Don’t be another sad statistic!

Statistics show that more than 90% of people involved in motorcycles accidents have had no formal training. 20% of all motorcycles accidents happen to riders with less than 6 months experience, and 30% to riders with less than one year of experience. This is due to undeveloped skills. Only you can change these statistics !!
