Current Team Points

Team SIR racers receive bonus points for joining the team for each of the two half seasons.
1st half season - 50 pts for joining before race #1, 40 pts for joining before race #2, etc.
2nd half season - 50 pts for joining before race #7, 40 pts for joining before race #8, etc
$40 to join Team SIR ($15 HS) only paid once per racing year.
Points awarded per race include:
10 pts for showing up and tech
11 pts for winning first round
12 pts for winning second round
13 pts for winning third round
ETC.......

Example: racer goes out third round
Pts = 10 + 11+ 12 = 33 pts for this race.

Team SIR Points Rules

Track champion and the first 4 positions will be determined as follows:
a) The winner of each series will do a run-off to determine 1st and 2nd. place.
b) The runner-up of each series will do a run-off to determine 3rd and 4th place.
c) Fifth place on down will be determined by the highest points earned during either the first series OR the second series for racers in the third, fourth, etc. places. It will not be combined as stated before.
Ex: One position may be selected from second series because it is the highest points scored and the next position may be from an individual in the first series. Bottom line is, everyone will have 2 points score and positions will be assigned from top to bottom. In the event of a tie, the racer attending the most races will prevail.
d) Positions 1 thru 4 will then be eligible for the Race of Champions at the ET Finals.

Note) The first 4 positions are guaranteed their position on the team. This means the winner and runner-up could change classes with a different vehicle.

ET Finals allow 64 cars this year along with 4 High School. Based on our team sign up roster, by percentage, we have decided the following number of cars and motorcycles per class are as follows:

Super Pro 19
Pro 23
Sportsman 16
Motorcycle 6
